Job Description



ROLE STATEMENT:
Reporting to the Vice-President, Human Resources and HSE, the Communications Coordinator will be responsible for internal and/or external communications including but not limited to the management of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s social media activities, corporate and employee communications, creating strategic communications/program management plans and researching industry trends to ensure that the Company is current with its communication activities. The Communications Coordinator will support the Company\xe2\x80\x99s business goals by reaching employees, clients and the general public with informative, engaging and inspiring communications that enable individual, team and enterprise performance.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage the Company\xe2\x80\x99s social media platform including the development of a social media strategy and the preparation of related content working in conjunction with other members of the Calfrac Team
  • Provide support to the Sales, Marketing and Technical Teams for the Canada and United States Divisions in their client marketing and communications activities
  • Provide support to the Human Resources Teams in their recruitment and employee development activities
  • Contribute to communication plans, programs, activities and resources in support of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s overall business objectives
  • Provide editorial direction and produce corporate and employee communications by collaborating with internal stakeholders to proactively curate content and vet submissions, determine content outline, craft engaging and on-brand materials, ensure availability of appropriate and engaging imagery, and measure and analyze the impact on internal and external audiences
  • Produce an engaging employee newsletter that is focused on telling employee stories and reinforcing the Company\xe2\x80\x99s culture and brand
  • Assist in the development of presentation materials for members of the Executive as needed
  • Ensure the Company\xe2\x80\x99s external documents reflect up-to-date statistics and brand materials
  • Manage and contribute content to the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Calfrac SharePoint Intranet page
  • Ensure that the Company\xe2\x80\x99s brand is reflected in all communication initiatives
  • Monitor, report and analyze traditional and social media coverage on an on-going basis

  • Advanced working knowledge of social media platforms and related computer software
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent work experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, and/or Journalism
  • 1- 3 years of relevant work experience required; experience in a corporate environment preferred
  • Relationship management experience with external agencies, vendors, clients or business partners
