Communications Content Development Specialist
Working with the divisions and corporate communications teams in Canada, you will be responsible for writing and producing impactful content for communication programs that drive employee engagement and enhance the Bayer brand in Canada. Reporting to the Sr. Business Partner for Content, Insights and Engagement, this is an exciting opportunity to apply your proven writing, communication, and storytelling skills. This position supports internal and external communications.
Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment. This is a permanent position based out of Mississauga, Ontario.
What you will do:
  • Write and produce digital communications that support corporate communications, divisional communications, employee communications and stakeholder relations
  • Work with the Channels and Amplification Specialist to manage the day-to-day content of the editorial calendar
  • Proactively drive employee and stakeholder engagement through impactful digital content on various tools and channels
  • Design and edit visual content (e.g., infographics, videos, images) for various communications channels
  • Optimize social and digital assets based on analytics and KPIs
  • Provide support for internal events (hybrid), including content for presentations and logistics/production
  • Ensure content adheres to Bayer brand, culture and written and visual standards
  • Responsible for some administrative tasks and other tasks as assigned

Who you are:
  • University degree or post-secondary education in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related program.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working in communications, public relations, journalism, etc.
  • Excellent writing skills with experience writing for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience in writing and editing digital content (e.g., infographics, videos, images).
  • Design and production experience with Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator / Premier Pro, and other digital and visual content tools and applications
  • Experience with working in digital channels such as LinkedIn, Yammer, TEAMS, and TEAMS Live.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Be willing to always innovate content to test performance, trends, or algorithms.
  • Team player with solid interpersonal skills.
  • Strong curiosity, learning capacity and independent decision-making ability.
  • Ability to manage several topics at the same time, define the right priorities and work independently.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Drive for results and continuous improvement.
  • Bilingual in French is an asset for the position.
