Your role and responsibilities:




An exciting opportunity awaits you at ABB North America as the Marketing and Communications Manager for the Process Industries division. In this role, you will play a key part in driving the division's success and growth by developing and executing customer-focused marketing and communications strategies tailored to the North American market. You will report to the Global Business Line Communications and Marketing Manager for Mining and work closely with local management, sales teams, and global communications leads.


To be successful in this role, you bring a proactive, creative, and self-motivated mindset. You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is well-versed in digital marketing and marketing automation tools. Your focus will be on increasing brand visibility, building thought leadership, and contributing to revenue growth by implementing digital marketing strategies that guide customers through their buying journey.


You will be responsible for translating global marketing and communications strategies into localized plans that resonate with North American audiences. This includes creating and adapting integrated campaigns that highlight ABB's portfolio, local projects, and subject matter experts. You will craft compelling content such as success stories, press releases, videos, presentations, speeches, articles, and social media posts to engage key stakeholders including customers, trade media, influencers, and employees.


In this role, you will also manage ABB's presence at local events, including trade shows, customer seminars, and ABB-hosted events, ensuring the brand and its leaders are well-positioned. Internally, you will coordinate communications to keep employees informed and engaged, including planning and hosting local town halls in collaboration with the local management team.


This position is open to candidates based in Canada, the United States, or Mexico, with a preference for those located in Montreal.

Qualifications for the role:




To thrive in this position, you bring a university degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field, along with at least eight years of experience in marketing communications - ideally within a communications agency or a B2B industrial environment. You have strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives simultaneously.


You are an excellent communicator in English, capable of translating complex technical topics into engaging and accessible content. Your creativity and innovative thinking allow you to generate fresh ideas while maintaining consistency with brand and business line positioning. You are solution-oriented, strategic, and analytical, with a strong understanding of digital marketing platforms and tools such as Salesforce and Pardot.


Your business acumen enables you to quickly grasp ABB's portfolio and market positioning. As a self-starter, you are highly collaborative, a strong networker, and a dependable team player.
