As a Communications Advisor, you will act as a strategic partner to understand the scope of various CPSA projects/initiatives, identify opportunities to enhance stakeholder relations and mitigate potential risks to CPSA\'s reputation. You will collaborate within and beyond the department to provide client counsel and support a strategic perspective. You will also be responsible for implementing integrated internal communications plans and supporting CPSA marketing initiatives.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Communications team and internal clients to determine external communication and marketing needs.
  • Develop integrated plans incorporating research, strategy development, goals, objectives, key messages, action plans, and measurement.
  • Research/write content for various mediums to support communications and marketing plans using CPSA brand tone and clear language.
  • Take a lead role or work with other team members and clients as appropriate to implement integrated plans, measure and report outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • General analytical, planning and professional skills typically obtained through a Bachelor\'s degree, or equivalent.
Experience:
  • Requirement for 5 to 8 years of occupational experience.
Skills:
  • Strategic communication planning and project management.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Marketing expertise.
  • Expertise in specific communications software (Office 365, WordPress, Mass email systems, design and video software).
  • Experience using social media for business purposes.
SALARY
The salary for this position is $93,843 and includes a comprehensive benefit package and pension plan.

During the 90-day probationary period, the successful candidate will be required to work from CPSA\'s downtown Edmonton Office. At the conclusion of a successful probationary period, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered.
