Job Summary
The
Audiometric Technician
provides a high level of client care and service by providing additional technical support to clinical and administrative staff. Reporting to the Clinic Manager, this individual is a key member of the team. The Audiometric Technician, among other responsibilities not listed, is directly responsible for hearing aid maintenance appointments, conducting hearing screenings, maintaining Clinic inventory, interacting with clients to troubleshoot their various devices and provide counselling as needed to help client's manage their devices. In addition, the Audiometric Technician plays a critical role supporting other Clinic staff and responding to requests on an ongoing and timely basis in order to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
Education & Qualifications
Communicative Disorders Assistant or Audiometric Technician certificate / diploma, or equivalent experience.
Interest in or baseline knowledge of the audiology profession (hearing loss, communication challenges, hearing testing, etc.).
Prior experience within a clinic setting including patient care and client service interaction is considered an asset.
Experience with or interest in working with senior populations is strongly considered an asset.
Willing to complete additional on the job training to develop the technical skillset.
Proof of COVID-19 fully vaccinated status is required.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a police check prior to hire

Position Conditions
This job is performed in a medical clinic setting.

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
