Tridon Communications is growing! We are seeking a Commissioning Technician to join our Tridon Team in Saskatoon, SK. Job Summary: The Telecom Commissioning Technician is responsible to ensure the secure operation of an interconnected communications system by installing, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and maintaining wireless systems. What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do:

• Perform commissioning of new telecommunication sites according to the implementation schedule
• Remove, install, or make repairs to existing communications equipment on tower and in the communications shelter
• Ensure proper inspection is completed of communications equipment
• Perform site maintenance activities and troubleshoot configuration problems
• Work with NOC at implementing Fault management, Configuration Management and Performance Management tools
• Test new wireless cellular products/technology in collaboration with the Access Engineering team
• Perform Field RF measurements and Data collection in support of the Radio Network Optimization Process
• Provide feedback and issue deficiencies to the Construction team and follow up on execution
• Maintain equipment firmware and configuration up to date
• Site surveys

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll Bring:

• Minimum 3 years of tower/telecom tower climbing experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience with wireless cellular networks or other relevant radio frequency experience considered an asset
• Must have experience with civil construction and full site builds
• Mobile equipment operation experience considered an asset
• Knowledge of hand and power tools, test equipment and design/fabrication techniques
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Operator\xe2\x80\x99s License or equivalent
• Understanding radio equipment, fiber optic testing, and related accessories (coaxial cables, antennas, repeaters, low noise amplifiers (LNAs), etc.
• Understanding of PIM and Sweep testing to produce accurate test result
• College Technical Diploma or equivalent in a related field preferred

Must Haves:

• Physical Ability to Climb a tower up to 300 Feet
• Safety First Mindset
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Operator\xe2\x80\x99s License or equivalent (recent 5 year Driver\xe2\x80\x99s Abstract will be required upon hire as a condition of employment)
• If required, the ability to pass a pre access drug and alcohol test and maintain the ability to pass subsequent pre access testing for site access
• Customer service with a client focus possessing excellent communications skills
• Excellent understanding of networking requirements and wiring standards applicable to the telecommunications industry
• Ability to work safely in hazardous environments
• Fluent in English written and verbal communications
• Team Player
