Do you want to be a part of driving the transition?Our Project team are currently seeking a Commissioning Operations Lead to join their team. This position will be based in our St. John's office with periodic business trips to Ingleside, TX and transition Offshore Newfoundland for the completion of project scope. As the Commissioning Operations lead, you will support the Operations SME with daily work and resource planning including vendor support and coordination of commissioning activities.What will you be doing?

  • Liaise with Client Operations to identify and prepare the necessary documentation to support isolations and isolation certificates (ICC's).
  • Prepare and manage the necessary permit to work and supporting documentation as per Client's work management system.
  • Responsible for the adherence to the established standards, practices, and procedures of the operating system.
  • Draft operating and commissioning procedures, establishing systems and acceptance criteria.
  • Supervise and mentor field personnel, conduct effective safety meetings, ensure established commissioning processes and policies are communicated and adhered.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start up activities in a safe and efficient way according to the implementation plan and schedule.
  • Liaise with the client operations team interface with commissioning personnel within the multidiscipline team.
  • Investigate and resolve personnel issues with assistance from others as required.
  • Responsible for gathering and maintaining commissioning documentation to validate the readiness for operation of critical start up items including check sheets, PSSR punches, equipment data).
  • Identification, follow up and resolution of field technical queries.
  • Review and sign off on turnover documentation and walkdowns prior to acceptance from construction.
We think you should have:
  • Technical diploma or Trade Certification in Power Engineering with a minimum 8 years of experience in Commissioning in an industrial/Offshore environment.
  • Offshore Experience/experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must have minimum 5 years of frontline supervisor experience.
  • Offshore Supervisory experience considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local safety and offshore industry regulations considered a asset.
  • Must complete mandatory safety training and meet qualifications required for work offshore Newfoundland.
