Nature's Fare Markets is looking for a full-time team member to assist with daily responsibilities in our Commissary Kitchen based out of our Head Office location here in Vernon, BC. We are looking to fill multiple positions from this posting.

The successful candidates can expect to work 5 days, 40 hours/week - 5:00am to 1:30pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm with flexibility Monday - Friday or Sunday - Thursday.

COMMISSARY KITCHEN TEAM MEMBER

The Opportunity:

In our commissary, we are passionately creating delicious food made with carefully chosen organic, local sustainable ingredients: fresh products, ethically raised and grass-fed meat and dairy and products without additives or preservatives. Our customers love our fresh juices and smoothies, gourmet sandwiches and wraps, salads, hearty soups, entrees and an array of baked goods. And of course, we offer tasty options for a variety of food preferences including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and paleo diets.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Ensuring freshness of our products through proper stock rotation
• You have interest in assisting with shipping and receiving orders into the kitchen, including packing and lifting boxes up to 50lbs.
• You have no problem jumping in where needed, including assisting with cleaning of prep areas, cutting boards, bins and utensils
• You love to prepare, cut, portion, and cook various vegetables, salads, and soups for our bistros.
• Consistency is your jam! You ensure recipes are properly measured and have a keen eye for detail
• Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
• Ensure maintenance of cleanliness and comply with WorkSafe, Food Safe, and Nature's Fare standards at all times.

• Experience in food preparation environment is a plus but not necessary
• Food Safe Certificate - Level 1 considered an asset
