SUMMARY




The Commercial Services Officer will develop, implement and maintain commercial loan and deposit portfolios. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of lending policies and procedures. The Commercial Services Officer must have a solid understanding commercial lending. An understanding of the commercial banking system is considered an asset.

KEY RESPONIBILITIES



Open and close business deposit accounts, ensuring the accuracy of required documents Maintain loans records and files to ensure documentation related to loan files are accurate and complete in the members file Set up and disburse loans applications and related loan documents by checking information in the system Ensure the filing system is accurate and up to date on a daily basis Balance and reconcile internal accounts related to lending and respond to inquiries from branch staff to resolve related problems Recommend process improvement for efficiencies Effective maintenance of security, by ensuring security forms are properly completed and maintained Prepare and ensure the accuracy of implementing legal documentation, terms and conditions Provide exceptional customer service to members, by identifying member needs and responding to inquires Administer and maintain commercial loan and deposit accounts by processing loan payments, payouts and ensuring commercial files are up to date Develop new business and retain existing business through establishing and building relationships with business members Acts as a liaison with key stakeholders Other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITIES



Thorough understanding of required loan documentation, including security documents Detailed knowledge and understanding of Anti-Money Laundering Terrorist Financing Act (AMLTFA) and Lake View Credit Union's AMLTFA policies and procedures Proven ability to understand business structures Proven ability to understand financial statements and applicable ratios Demonstrates effective organization and time management Strong follow up skills and a detailed diary system Able to make sound judgment and analyze complex commercial lending problems Demonstrates the ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple tasks Demonstrates commercial lending product knowledge Sales and Service focus with an aptitude for business development and relationship building Strong commitment to continuous learning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrates leadership ability and team development skills Maintains a positive attitude towards corporate initiatives and change management Strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial mindset Demonstrates dedication to providing quality member sales and service Proven ability to be creative and innovative Able to work independently and as a team with minimal supervision Demonstrates initiative

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



Experience with Commercial lending preferred Minimum 3 years experience in a financial institution an asset Experience with Microsoft Excel Post secondary education in business, finance, accounting or equivalent an asset
