The Commercial Security Technician Supervisor is an exciting new position within our growing team, in which you'll be responsible for supporting a skilled team of six field technicians in delivering exceptional commercial security solutions. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact project success, drive team development, and uphold The Radius Way by ensuring legendary customer experience. Working closely with the Security Operations Manager, you'll balance both field and office responsibilities, typically spending 1-2 days per week in the office, to stay closely connected to day-to-day operations while supporting strategic oversight and team coaching.

CORE AREAS OF RESPONSBILITY



Supervision & Coaching

Provide direct supervision and mentorship to a team of six commercial security technicians, including onboarding, training, and ongoing performance coaching. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that promotes employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement. Support recruitment and onboarding efforts, actively contribute to performance evaluations and development planning, and conduct regular one-on-one meetings with the team.
Operational Oversite

Oversee all activities related to commercial security installations and service work, ensuring that projects are being completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor productivity levels and work with the Security Operations Manager to implement strategies to optimize efficiency. Work in close coordination with the Security Project Manager to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and resource planning. Foster strong collaboration across key departments, including Security Customer Service, Sales, Parts, and the Command Center, to drive seamless execution and communication.
Technical Duties

Support the team with hands-on installation, programming, and servicing of commercial security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, access control, in-suite wiring, system networking, and wire pulling.
Customer Experience Excellence

Work with the team on creating and continuously adapting The Radius Way to ensure our customer's experience is legendary*.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding field operations, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing expectations.
Safety & Compliance

Enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize risk and maintain a strong safety culture across the field team. Ensure all technicians are up to date with the required certifications, including fall protection, scissor lift, boom lift, and other relevant training.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE



2+ Years of leadership or supervisory

experience in a technical or field service environment.

Trade Qualification (TQ) Certificate

: ability to detect, respond and resolve security incidents.

3+ Years of Demonstrated Experience with Installation, Programming & Servicing of Security Systems.

Knowledge of Security Applications:

Video verification, video analytics, forensic video systems, intrusion alarms, burg, ULC Fire Systems.

Class 5 Drivers License & Clean Driving Record

Security License
