WHAT WILL YOU DO?




Review completed leases and accurately input tenant information into Yardi. Collect and apply tenant payments in Yardi on a timely basis. Regularly review and maintain the rent roll tracker to ensure data accuracy. Monitor Accounts Receivable ledgers and collaborate with the Property Manager to determine necessary actions. Prepare and send Notices of Default as required. Assist with month-end accounting activities, including posting rent rolls and recurring journal entries. Prepare general journal entries as required to support accurate financial reporting. Prepare monthly operating statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of income and expense allocations. Partner with the Property Management team to coordinate the preparation of annual operating budgets, capital budgets, and ongoing budget tracking. Prepare annual tenant pre-billings, budgets, and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliation statements. Assist in processing tenant chargebacks and related billing activities. Prepare Rental Advice Notices (RANs) for commercial tenants; distribute tenant welcome packages and track pre-possession requirements. Respond promptly to tenant inquiries regarding ledger balances, payment arrangements, and other account-related questions. Work closely with local site staff, the Property Management group, and Leasing teams to ensure operational alignment. Request, collect, and maintain up-to-date records of commercial tenant insurance certificates. Assist with the collection of Estoppels and Subordination, Non-Disturbance, and Attornment Agreements (SNDAs) as required. Update and maintain property leasing brochures as necessary. Keep online lease listings current and accurate using RentSync, LoopNet and SpaceList. We are a flexible and proactive team, readily taking on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?




2-3 years of experience in property accounting. Strong knowledge of the commercial real estate industry, with a focus on understanding commercial leases. Proficiency in property management software; experience with Yardi is considered a significant asset. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as IF, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, and pivot tables. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and proactively anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
