The role in a nutshell
Based at our Toronto office, the Commercial Operations Associate will use their skills to efficiently complete a range of tasks to support the physical sales and delivery of our products \xe2\x80\x93 primarily copper.
More specifically, you will be expected to:
- Be responsible for the administration of purchase and sales contracts;
- Complete Sales order entry and order changes;
- Ensure that all documents comply with the company internal guidelines;
- Truck and rail car scheduling including warehouse Transfer planning and shipment scheduling;
- Do the weekly and monthly reporting of shipment status, customer issues, metal production guidance, smelter inventories and sales realizations;
- Monitor the documentation of contracts, including co-managing of contract changes and corrections;
- Have close interactions with worldwide offices for guidance on Chartering, Insurance, Finance, Legal and Compliance.
- Post-secondary studies in Mining, Administration, Commerce, Logistics, Economics or another relevant field;
- A minimum of 18 months of work experience (ideally with an exposure to logistics and/or commodities);
- Have good administrative skills, a strong attention to detail and effective communication skills;
- You are action-oriented, energetic and have a positive attitude;
- You are a team player, eager to learn and have a flexible approach.
