The role in a nutshell
Based at our Toronto office, the Commercial Operations Associate will use their skills to efficiently complete a range of tasks to support the physical sales and delivery of our products \xe2\x80\x93 primarily copper.
More specifically, you will be expected to:
Be responsible for the administration of purchase and sales contracts;
Complete Sales order entry and order changes;
Ensure that all documents comply with the company internal guidelines;
Truck and rail car scheduling including warehouse Transfer planning and shipment scheduling;
Do the weekly and monthly reporting of shipment status, customer issues, metal production guidance, smelter inventories and sales realizations;
Monitor the documentation of contracts, including co-managing of contract changes and corrections;
Have close interactions with worldwide offices for guidance on Chartering, Insurance, Finance, Legal and Compliance.
Do you have what it takes?
Post-secondary studies in Mining, Administration, Commerce, Logistics, Economics or another relevant field;
A minimum of 18 months of work experience (ideally with an exposure to logistics and/or commodities);
Have good administrative skills, a strong attention to detail and effective communication skills;
You are action-oriented, energetic and have a positive attitude;
You are a team player, eager to learn and have a flexible approach.
Language: English (verbal and written). Knowledge of French, Spanish and/or Mandarin is an asset.
