We are currently looking for a Manager for the Data, Portfolio Monitoring and Implementation Department. This department\'s purpose is to improve the quality and availability of data and ensure timely reports production, develop dynamic portfolio monitoring and support pricing implementations in order to achieve the sector\'s goals for profitable growth and to support its members and clients. The team therefore works closely with the other teams in the Business sector, the Business Intelligence (BI) sector, with the actuarial and underwriting teams.

As Manager Data, Portfolio Monitoring and Implementation, your role involves overseeing various activities related to data management, monitoring and implementations by capitalizing on your abilities to make quality decisions, to convey them to others and to build an effective team. You\'re responsible for the service offering, as well as for developing and implementing the action plan, and for ensuring the completion of activities set out in the organization\'s business plan and strategic directions. Skilled in developing talent and driving results, you\'re able to effectively manage people and performance, ensure accountability and ensure member/client satisfaction.

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities

Develop, implement and track the unit\'s action plan, ensuring alignment with the organization\'s strategic directions and other administrative units, with a focus on performance management

Establish management and communication practices that support change management, skills development, employee engagement and retention, and diversity, in keeping with Desjardins\'s values

On an ongoing basis, ensure the efficient and effective management and use of resources and processes through a rigorous approach that is focused on results, service quality, and the client

Develop and maintain an efficient data infrastructure based on best practices in data governance in collaboration with the Business Intelligence sector, including the implementation of quality controls and documentation, and the creation of business rules and key performance indicators

Centralize and meet actuarial data needs from the Business sector and other partners

Represent the Business sector on various committees or working groups within the organization

Create, automate and analyze management and tracking reports for the Commercial Lines portfolio to support strategic decisions for profitable growth

Collaborate on pricing implementations with the IT teams, particularly through the introduction of rigorous.

Improve data quality and availability to support the achievement of the strategic plan

Implement rigorous, automated processes and controls for data management, reports and implementations

Communicate the technical needs related to data in plain, simple language for a non-technical audience

Collaborate closely with various sectors in the organization while complying with data governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in actuarial science a related field

A minimum of ten years of relevant experience, including four years in management

Experience in business intelligence or data management (an asset)
