ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is one of the top growing fast brokerages located in Alberta. They are proud to be one of the most well-established and well-regarded brokerages founded in 1986, specializing in the construction, oil, and transport industries.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This role will be heavy on Commercial, focusing on oil, transport, and construction. You will be working closely with the Sales Executive. This individual will be responsible for managing a select group of accounts and is ideally suited for an experienced broker who provides the highest level of client service.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Your primary responsibility will be to act as the go-to contact for all customer insurance needs. You are responsible for maintaining a positive and proactive customer communication at all times while performing all renewal activities for the assigned customers (Book of Business) and providing mentorship to the rest of the team. Your daily duties include:

• Work closely with the sales team and provide support on renewals, new business, proposals, issuing, binders, and contracts
• Preparing submissions; presenting insurance quotes, renewals
• Issuing invoices, endorsements, contracts
• Inputting information and updating client and claims details
• Cross-sell or up-sell other products and services the brokerage offers to new and existing clients
• Coverage review checklists must be performed on an annual basis as per the CMB Renewal System
• Build marketing relationships with CMB designated underwriters, maintain a positive and proactive relationship with underwriting, always putting the client's needs first

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Level 2 is strongly preferred, CIP or CAIB designation
• 3-5 years experience within a commercial insurance business environment
• 3-4 years experience within a team environment in a customer service position
• Familiar with using TAM, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong client-facing skills

COMPENSATION

• $55,000 - $80,000 (depending on experience)
