BIM is seeking a dedicated Commercial Insurance Underwriter to join our growing team. We are looking for someone dedicated to delivering exceptional service while document processing with precision and professionalism.

Commercial Insurance Underwriter

Job Type:

Hybrid, Full Time, Permanent, Monday to Friday

Pay:

$65,000-$85,000 annually

What You Will Do:

Underwrite and manage a portfolio of small to mid-sized commercial P&C risks, including new business, renewals, and endorsements Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers within your delegated underwriting authority Build and maintain strong broker and stakeholder relationships Provide expert mentorship to junior underwriters Support and suggest enhancements to underwriting guidelines, processes, and workflows Represent the company at industry events and broker meetings as needed Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless broker and client experiences Contribute to the profitable growth of our underwriting portfolio Deliver prompt, courteous service to all business partners

What You Bring:

3+ years of commercial underwriting experience (preferred) CIP designation (preferred or currently working toward it) RIBO license (or willingness to obtain) Familiarity with domestic carriers and Lloyd's of London markets (an asset)
