:

Division 8 is currently seeking Commercial Glass & Aluminum Installers. The full time positions are available immediately. Applicants must be motivated and reliable. Majority of work in HRM, however out of town work available with accommodations & living allowance provided.

Job Responsibilities:

Install curtain walls, store front frame assemblies, doors and hardware. Set up and work safely on ladders, lifts and scaffolding. Lift and carry heavy materials throughout the day. Maintain personal and team safety in the shop and on job-sites. Participate in safety classes and certifications as required.

Preferred Skills:

Prior Commercial Glazing, construction experience, knowledge of hand and power tools in the trade is considered an asset. As is, knowledge of blueprints and detailed drawings, different types of fasteners/ hardware, and a complete understanding of curtain walls and store fronts.

Qualifications:

Must be able to work confidently and safely at heights in excess of ten feet Must be able to work safely outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects. Must be personable with other workers and be able to work in a team environment. Must be committed to high standards for quality and excellence in all aspects of the job. First aid, fall arrest / man lift courses considered an asset
