Job Description

Glass Inc. is a highly reputable local glass business serving the Niagara Region and beyond. We are currently seeking committed and hard-working individuals with construction experience to take on the responsibility of Glass Installer.

You will be working under the supervision of an experienced Glass Installer as a Helper/Labourer to start and work your way towards being a full Installer. You will always be teamed up with another team member and your role would include (but is not limited to): installing custom frameless glass shower enclosures, frameless glass railings (interior/exterior), glass and mirror walls, office partitions, wine rooms, glass backsplashes & frameless mirror applications for residential and commercial buildings. You will also be responsible for carefully loading & unloading products, cleaning up, keeping work areas organized, prepping & cutting mirrors in-shop as well as other hardware for installation and reporting back to the office of any issues on-site.

The qualified candidate should possess the following skills:

Must be handy and familiar with a variety of hand tools and power tools Be in good physical condition as job requires heavy lifting Ability to read a tape measure & architectural drawings and shop drawings (familiarity with both imperial & metric measurements) Ability to perform basic mathematical concepts such as addition and subtraction in fractional format Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, independently and as a team member Ability to measure accurately with the assistance of lasers and levels with strong attention to detail Ability to troubleshoot issues on site Excellent customer service skills Can work well with others and be a team player Previous construction experience is required!!! Previous glass/glazing experience an asset Valid G license an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
