Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a

Commercial Financing Clerk

to support our legal team in managing all aspects of commercial loan transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience with lending, PPSA registrations, and closing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review documentation for commercial lending transactions, including commitment letters, PPSA registrations, and loan/closing/security documents

Conduct and analyze due diligence searches (PPSA, real estate, litigation, etc.)

Register and discharge security interests under the PPSA and other applicable registries

Prepare closing checklists and coordinate transaction closings

Organize and assemble closing books and post-closing documentation

Communicate with lenders, borrowers, title insurers, and other stakeholders

Maintain accurate transaction records and filing systems

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience as a clerk in commercial financing

Knowledge of real property, security documentation, and closing procedures and the PPSA.

Proficient in legal technology tools and registry systems (e.g., Teraview)

Excellent organizational and time management skills

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills
