  • 5+ years of commercial finance law experience required
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial finance laws, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Portable book of business preferred, not required
  • Admitted to practice in Alberta
:1. Legal Advice: Provide legal advice and guidance to various stakeholders within the organization on commercial finance matters, including loan agreements, collateral documentation, and credit agreements.2. Contract Review: Review and negotiate contracts related to commercial finance, such as loan agreements, security agreements, and lease agreements.3. Loan Documentation: Prepare and draft loan documentation, including loan agreements, security agreements, and related documents in compliance with legal requirements.4. Compliance: Stay updated with the latest legal and regulatory developments affecting commercial finance and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.5. Transaction Management: Manage and oversee all aspects of commercial finance transactions, including due diligence, negotiation, and closing.6. Litigation Support: Provide legal support in litigation matters related to commercial finance, including assisting with mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings.7. Business Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify new business opportunities and align legal strategies with the company\'s overall objectivesEnvironment:
