What is the opportunity? By joining RBC as a Commercial Banking Advisor, you open the door to an exciting career in commercial banking. This is your opportunity to become a critical member of the Client Relationship Team in a results-oriented environment in collaboration with Relationship Managers, Treasury Solutions, Service Advisors and other team members. This role will be attractive to individuals who have a passion for working as part of a team to deliver advice and a superior experience to business clients. Individuals who may already be working in the financial, retail or service industry, have some experience being part of a sales team, who are comfortable engaging with clients and committed to continuous learning and self-improvement are most likely to thrive in this critical Trusted Strategic Advisor role What will you do?

  • Excel at needs discovery and solution development to provide commercial clients with advice for their day-to-day banking operations.
  • Identify, plan & deliver the best solutions to clients and prospects based on strong knowledge of client\xe2\x80\x99s business and operational requirements.
Collaborate with the Client Relationship Team to establish client contact strategies and proactively contact clients to understand their needs, changing circumstances and provide value added advice and service. What do you need to succeed? Must-have
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated excellence in a sales and service role.
  • Proven track record of strong relationship management skills and proven sales success
  • Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e., web-based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications)
  • Foundational skills in both business and financial acumen
Nice-to-have
  • Post-secondary education at college or university level in business administration or financial management preferred e.g., BBA, B. of Commerce or equivalent on-the-job learning.
