About the Position: Canature WaterGroup\xe2\x84\xa2 is growing! We are looking for driven, talented, and personable individuals to join our team. If you are a Commercial Applications Engineer, you will want to consider joining our rapidly expanding business. Reporting to the General Manager, CIED, this position is based in our Regina SK office and is the key technical personnel for the entire process of a commercial product application. The Application Engineer will work in conjunction with the sales management team, purchasing, and operations to provide technically sound, reliable, and value-based water treatment solutions by critically analyzing technical data, understanding the customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs and wants, and thoughtful planning. The Application Engineer is responsible for the management of the entire cycle of the commercial application and must have strong communication skills in order to maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Provide technical quotations for commercial applications.
  • Understand product line.
  • Maintain, manage, and enter orders.
  • Receive and listen to customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs and wants, in order to provide correct equipment based on application requirements.
  • Design and evaluate commercial water treatment systems to achieve highest level of operational efficiency and value for the customer.
  • Provide input for new product design and current product evaluation.
  • Create and design process flow diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFP\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Call on consulting engineering firms to maintain strong relationships and provide technical support for specified product.
  • Travel to project sites to perform start-ups.
  • Travel to networking events and shows for professional development and company exposure.
  • Assist in internal company training seminars.
  • Provide quotation and sales analyzation reports to management.
  • Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with company policy.
  • Work with sales management team to identify core products, key accounts, and key sales opportunities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Engineering with 0-3 years experience. Combination of education and experience considered
  • Prior experience in the commercial water conditioning industry considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read architectural and mechanical blueprints
  • Knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical control systems
  • Industrious attitude and work ethic
  • Able to travel < 10%
  • Must have valid drivers license

  • This position works in a standard office environment.
  • This position will require concentration and focus to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Extra hours may be required from time to time to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Able to travel for business upto 10%
