Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Body Shop Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and customer service, with the ability to assess vehicle damage accurately and provide comprehensive estimates for repairs. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the high standards of our body shop.

Duties

Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed and provide accurate estimates. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair processes, timelines, and costs. Utilize mechanical knowledge to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Handle cash transactions and manage payment processes efficiently. Collaborate with technicians to ensure that all repairs are completed to specifications. Upsell additional services or products when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and shop profitability. Maintain accurate records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the repair process, addressing any concerns or questions promptly.

Requirements

Proven experience in automotive repair or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to assess vehicle conditions accurately. Experience in cash handling and financial transactions. Familiarity with dealership operations is a plus. Sales experience, particularly in upselling services or products, is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
