As a Collections Specialist in the Finance team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be following up routinely on monies due and documenting progress of recoveries in claims. In addition, the Collections Specialist monitors the automated process to run smoothly and escalates errors in claims and unrecoverable amounts for analysis. This position requires attention to detail, perseverance and a strong desire for resolution of sums due.

What does your typical day look like?

  • Track payment status of outstanding reimbursements and follow up on uncollected amounts with providers and claimants (main contact of communications is by phone).
Respond to provider/claimant requests of a clerical nature, including providing additional documentation or proof of payment.

Perform ancillary functions, such as producing tax receipts and setting up payment arrangements with debtors.

Register and apply cash receipts (checks and wires) to claims or Global Excel\xe2\x80\x99s account for out-of-pocket coverages.

Perform other administrative tasks as needed.

What skills and experience are we looking for?
  • College diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years of relevant experience.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.

Database and systems knowledge. * Must be able to come in person to the Sherbrooke office.
