Job Description

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist situated in North York, Ontario. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient billing processes, effective collection procedures, and maintaining accurate customer records in our industry.Responsibilities:

• Handling customer inquiries and ensuring they have the correct invoice information.

• Sending invoices to customers via fax or email as required.

• Processing all forms of customer payments, including credit card and cash payments.

• Efficiently managing customer credit applications.

• Conducting account reconciliation and maintaining accurate customer credit records.

• Assisting with the preparation of weekly Accounts Receivable (AR) statements.

• Determining customers suitable for electronic and weekly billing.

• Collecting missing Purchase Orders (PO's) as necessary and uploading invoices into customer portals.

• Implementing collections procedures, including escalating calls and sending letters as needed.

• Bringing any payment issues to the attention of the appropriate authority.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Capability to handle Answering Inbound Calls
• Familiarity with Collection Processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Collecting Payments
• Knowledge of Credit Card Payments processes
• Experience in handling Cash Payments
