PLEASE NOTE \xe2\x80\x93 This is full-time permanent, on-site position
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the collections team to achieve performance targets and ensure high standards of customer service.
  • Develop and implement effective collections strategies to minimize bad debt and improve recovery rates.
  • Monitor and analyze collections metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Handle escalated collections cases and negotiate payment arrangements with clients.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and customer service, to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Prepare regular reports on collections activities and performance for senior management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes to continuously enhance the collections process.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a collections role.
  • Proven experience managing a collections team and achieving performance targets.
  • Strong knowledge of collections practices, laws, and regulations, particularly in the Canadian context.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in using collections software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
