PLEASE NOTE \xe2\x80\x93 This is full-time permanent, on-site position
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the collections team to achieve performance targets and ensure high standards of customer service.
- Develop and implement effective collections strategies to minimize bad debt and improve recovery rates.
- Monitor and analyze collections metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Handle escalated collections cases and negotiate payment arrangements with clients.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and customer service, to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Prepare regular reports on collections activities and performance for senior management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes to continuously enhance the collections process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a collections role.
- Proven experience managing a collections team and achieving performance targets.
- Strong knowledge of collections practices, laws, and regulations, particularly in the Canadian context.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using collections software and other relevant tools.
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
