JOB GRADE: Grade 5 ($22.68 - $24.79)McCain Foods (Canada) \xe2\x80\x93 Florenceville Distribution Center is currently looking for a Forklift Operator/Order Picker to join our team, more than on candidate may be selected.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive in a defensive manner under \xe2\x80\x9cInfo Link\xe2\x80\x9d guidelines, preventing injury and product/equipment damage
• Responsible for housekeeping and maintaining 5S within your work area
• Responsible to ensure forklift battery rotation is followed
• Communicate any changes, issues, etc. to other operators and supervision
• Must maintain all required documentation and check sheets

• Ensure targets are met by following Standard work, understanding and supporting departmental KPI\xe2\x80\x99s
• Must follow \xe2\x80\x9cGood Manufacturing Practices\xe2\x80\x9d (GMP\xe2\x80\x99s)
• Complete vehicle operator\xe2\x80\x99s checklist for lift truck to ensure lift truck is safe to operate

• Required to operate various types of lift trucks, including stand up reach trucks Must be able to work varying 12-hour shifts and weekends as the workload demands.
• Knowledge of WMS and experience operating forklifts would be an asset
• Must be self-motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude
• Must be willing and able to assume different tasks at any time with minimal notice
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision, and get along well with others
• Must be willing to cross-train in order departmental areas
• Perform all other duties/tasks as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have Grade 12 or equivalent
• Must have, or be able to obtain, a forklift operators\xe2\x80\x99 certificate for both counterbalance and reach trucks
• Knowledge of lift trucks and proper driving procedures

• Ability to lift, approximately 20 kgs
• Good attendance record is required
• Good written, oral and math skills are important
• Must attend team meetings as required

Length of service will be the determining factor when all other factors are relatively equal. Testing may be required depending on the position applied for.
