Under the direction of the Administrator and Director of Care, the Co-Director of Care is responsible and accountable for ensuring the provision of optimum care to promote the well being of each individual resident. Assists the Director of Care in providing supervision of nursing and personal care services to ensure an outstanding level of resident care is maintained and enhanced on a continuous basis, in accordance with the policies of Jarlette Health Services and applicable legislation. Assumes the role of Director of Care in his/her absence. As a valued member of Jarlette Health Services, the Co-Director of Care demonstrates a commitment to resident safety by providing quality care in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Jarlette Health Services.
Ideal Candidate Traits & Qualifications

  • Must possess a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, ss 79 and Ontario Regulation ss. 51/22.
  • Successful completion of or enrollment in Long Term Care Senior Management or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in Long Term Care (Gerontology) preferred
  • Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
  • Must be computer literate
