Position Overview

We are seeking a

Coating Inspector / Coordinator

to oversee coating operations at our Medicine Hat fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will bring proven inspection experience and hold a

NACE Level 1

or

AMPP Level 1

certification (or higher). This position plays a key role in ensuring all coating activities meet project specifications, quality requirements, and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections of surface preparation and coating applications Verify compliance with client specifications, standards, and project ITPs Manage coating documentation, including reports, inspection records, and data packages Track individual pieces and maintain coating logs for all components Coordinate with production, QA/QC, and subcontractors to support project timelines Assist with coating procedure reviews and subcontractor performance Ensure adherence to Hranco's ISO 9001 and ASME Quality Management Systems

Qualifications

NACE Level 1 or AMPP Level 1 certification (minimum requirement) Minimum 3 years of coating inspection or coordination experience in industrial or fabrication environments Strong knowledge of coating standards and quality documentation Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
