The work location is at

Nunavik

and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks for rest.

Future challenges

The Water Treatment Coordinator performs the following duties in accordance with applicable safety standards:Coordinate, plan and control the operation and improvement activities of the drinking water production, wastewater treatment as well as surface mining water treatment facilities; Work in close collaboration with the maintenance departments and participate in the reliability of the facilities; Ensure the writing of follow-up, scientific and technical reports; Participate actively in the implementation of new water treatment plants; Leads optimization projects for water treatment plants, whether in terms of production, health and safety, automation or computerization of processes; Ensure the application of the regulations in force in his sector; Supervise the personnel of his sector; Plan the sampling and analysis of water in his sector; Promote and comply with company health and safety requirements; Performs any other related duties as required by his supervisor.

Profile required

Education and relevant experience: Have a college diploma (DEC) in water treatment and have more than 5 years of experience in the field of water treatment or mining water treatment, OR; Have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering (environmental or water specialty is an asset) and have more than 2 years' experience in the water treatment sector. Knowledge of physical-chemical processes of decanter/integrated sludge tanker/sludge recirculation. Knowledge of drinking water and wastewater regulations; Excellent knowledge of the Office Suite; Possess a valid class 5 driver's license.

Nice to have

Bilingualism (French and functional English); Holder of certificates of qualification in wastewater treatment and/or drinking water.
