Westridge HR, on behalf of our St. Catharines client, is searching for a CNC Tool Grinder.
Ideally, you will have at least 2 years experience in a custom cutting tool manufacturing environment \xe2\x80\x93 however, if you are a recent Mechanical Engineering Technician Grad or have completed a Machinist Introductory Program, our client is ready to support your post-graduate training and career growth.

More About the Role:
The CNC Tool Grinder prepares parts and equipment based on customer requirements and timelines; meeting quality standards and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Start Date: Immediate
Work Location: St. Catharines; close to QEW highway
Job Type: Regular full time (M-F, day/afternoon shift rotation)
Compensation: up to $30/hr (commensurate on experience)

Overtime Opportunities: Occasional

Here\xe2\x80\x99s what the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Reviewing engineering blueprints, drawings, and other specification papers
• Inspecting and performing quality checks on raw materials and equipment
• Setup and operation of CNC tool grinder machine(s)
• Putting machinery through test runs prior to full implementation, to ensure programming is working effectively; noting discrepancies and providing resolution through program modification(s) and adjusting offsets
• Checking and measuring parts to confirm accuracy, precision, and adherence to all quality specifications/standards
• General manufacturing support duties as assigned; including maintenance

To be considered for an interview, you must have the following skills & experience:

• 2 years of experience in a custom cutting tool manufacturing shop environment OR completion of a post-secondary Mechanical Engineering Technician or Machinist Introductory Program
• Walter Tool Grinder and Numroto experience an asset
• Advanced ability to read and understand engineering blueprints, drawings, and sketches
• Experience using measuring tools; including micrometers, calipers, Zoller inspection machine and laser micrometers
