Job Summary:

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor the CNC Technician is a skilled and detail-oriented positions requiring hands on and detail-oriented experience operating and maintaining and HAAS CNC Machine and systems. This position is responsible for setting up, programming and running CNC equipment to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate HAAS CNC machines (mills and/or lathers) to produce rail components to exact specifications Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and CAD models to determine machining requirements Program CNC machines using G-Code and HAAS specific controls Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.). Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in workflow and efficiency Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Experience with CAD/CAM software (eg Mastercam, Fusion 360) Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Familiarity with ISO 9001 Proficiency in G-Code and programming HAAS control systems Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Familiarity with quality control and inspections tools Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Requirements:

Diploma or certificate in CNC machining, manufacturing technology or related field 2 years or more of experience operating HAAS CNC Machines Ability to work variable evening/ night shifts Reliable transportation to work

Work Environment:

Industrial Shop setting- PPE required Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and night shifts Loud environment, repetitive movements, bending lifting to 50 lbs, interacting with machinery Standing for extended periods of time Shift work
