CNC Production Supervisor

Location: Concord, ON (Hwy 7/Creditstone Rd)

Day Shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Pay: up to $37 per hour (based on experience)

General Description of Job:

CNC Production Supervisor oversees the machine shop. They plan and oversee machine production. Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures to produce quality precision parts.

Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Read and review drawings and specifications of a particular product and plan the production process, including where and how to cut the work piece, the correct tools and materials for the job and the sequence of steps to follow in production of the product in conjunction with the CNC programmer;

\xc2\xb7 Pull raw material inventory according to order specifications;

\xc2\xb7 Problem solve and make decisions on ways to decrease cycle times and efficiency of setups;

\xc2\xb7 Assist in performing the machining operations, watch for problems in the production process, and check the accuracy of the finished piece against drawings using calibrated measuring tools;

\xc2\xb7 Stay current on machining technology by learning new techniques and learn how to operate new machines;

\xc2\xb7 Work as a team in the machine shop with tooling, inspection and other production and assembly departments;

\xc2\xb7 Safely run and maintain machines as needed and train the operators as required;

\xc2\xb7 Assist in machine maintenance and repair;

\xc2\xb7 Inspect for quality in all aspects of different jobs;

\xc2\xb7 Ensure that the workplace is kept clean and at the end of the shift all the machinery and floors are swept clean by the operators;

\xc2\xb7 Other duties as needed where skills match (assembly, maintenance, tooling);

\xc2\xb7 Help machine operators with problem solving, adjustments, and setups;

Qualifications and skills:

• Organize and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area in a professional and safe manner.

• 10 years of CNC operator and 5 years of CNC production supervisor experience on similar machinery and machined components.

• Ability to use lifting devices and jib crane, training provided

• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, organize deadlines and priorities.

• Read and interpret casting and fabrication drawings/ symbols, drawing specifications, materials and technical manuals.

• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination with strong attention to detail.

• Strong team player.

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
