About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

CNC SMX Machinist

to join a world-class precision manufacturing team serving the

aerospace, nuclear, and defense

industries. This position is ideal for a machinist who thrives in a high-accuracy environment, working with complex, multi-axis components and advanced materials.

You will operate and set up

Doosan SMX multi-tasking mill-turn machines

, performing both turning and milling operations on precision parts used in mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and edit programs on

SMX Mill-Turn CNC machines

. Machine complex, high-precision components according to engineering drawings and tight tolerances. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and inspection reports to ensure dimensional accuracy. Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools. Adjust feeds, speeds, and tool offsets to maintain product quality and cycle time. Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and quality personnel to optimize machining processes. Maintain clean and organized work area and follow all safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience in aerospace, nuclear, or precision manufacturing. Hands-on experience with

Doosan SMX

or similar

multi-axis Mill-Turn machines

. Strong knowledge of machining operations for both milling and turning. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T. Experience machining exotic alloys and high-strength materials (Inconel, Titanium, Stainless Steel). Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality components. Diploma or trade certification in Machining or related technical field preferred.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
