Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Shop Assistant to support our manufacturing operations. This role involves assisting with machining ensuring smooth production processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, familiarity with CNC machinery, and a solid understanding of manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines such as CNC lathes and CNC milling machines Read and interpret blueprints, and technical drawings. Use precision measuring tools like calipers to ensure parts meet specifications. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and improve workflow efficiency

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining. Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathe and CNC milling machines Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations in manufacturing processes Experience with using precision measurement instruments. Prior experience in a machining environments is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and teamwork skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
