We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in CNC programming, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. The CNC Operator will play a vital part in ensuring high-quality production while adhering to safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
Duties
Read and interpret drawings; understand programs.
Store & retrieve CNC programs.
Sequence CNC operations.
Determine simple tool path and calculate co-ordinates to establish cutter path.
Read and interpret G codes and M codes.
Program CNC machines utilizing CNC programming skills, SolidWorks, CAD, and blueprint reading.
Operate CNC lathe and milling machines to produce components according to specifications.
Perform routine inspections of machined parts using calipers and other hand tools to verify dimensions.
Adjust machine parameters as needed for optimal performance and quality.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
Assist with machine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and performing basic repairs.
Experience
Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and CNC milling machines
Capable of running CNC equipment and making changes that could affect quality
Able to work independently
Physically capable of moving, checking, and deburring parts
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Experience with CNC programming, SolidWorks, CAD software, and blueprint interpretation.
Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in machining processes.
Knowledge of machining tools including calipers, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operation is advantageous.
