Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and CAD/CAM software. The CNC Programmer/Machinist will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and efficient production workflows, utilizing advanced manufacturing techniques and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities



Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, and other machining centers using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam. Set up CNC machines including tooling selection, fixture setup, and calibration to ensure accurate machining operations. Operate CNC equipment with proficiency in Fanuc and Hass controls, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints with GD&T annotations for precise manufacturing. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to minimize downtime. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions. Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve process efficiency and reduce waste. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, and process adjustments for continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with engineering teams on design modifications and process improvements.

Requirements



Proven experience in CNC programming and machining operations with proficiency in Fanuc controls. Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, and CAM programming tools. Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and schematic interpretation. Experience working with various machining equipment such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling selection, geometry calculations, and precision measurement instruments. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong mathematical skills including geometry and basic math calculations necessary for precise machining tasks.
