We are seeking a

CNC Plasma and Laser Table Operator

to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a background in metal fabrication and experience operating CNC cutting equipment.

Position Overview

As a CNC Cutting Table Operator, you will be responsible for safely setting up, operating, and maintaining our CNC cutting equipment. You'll work closely with both our Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure the precise cutting of components used in custom-built equipment for the sawmill and material handling industry.

What You'll Do

Plasma / Laser Table Operation

Safely set up and operate CNC cutting tables Ensure proper material type and thickness is loaded and programmed correctly Monitor machine for accurate output, ensuring parts meet or exceed quality standards Perform regular maintenance and daily cleaning of equipment

Fabrication Support

Read and interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings Set up tooling and ensure accurate part counts Handle materials and parts up to 50 lbs Use lift devices and overhead cranes (up to 10-ton capacity) safely

Quality & Safety

Ensure all guards and safety devices are in place and functioning properly Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

What You Bring

Experience operating CNC plasma tables or similar cutting equipment Previous experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings Experience with cranes and rigging Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Willingness to work overtime as required Knowledge or experience with Sigmanest nesting software an asset
