Job Description
As a CNC Swiss Lathe, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and quality output of a
Tornos GT-26/6 Swiss-type lathe
. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and experience working with tight tolerances and complex geometries.Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate the Tornos GT-26/6 Swiss-type latheto produce precision components Interpret technical drawings and part specifications Make tool offsets and minor adjustments as needed to maintain quality Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the machine Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to ensure first-time-right manufacturing Maintain accurate production records and follow safety procedures
Qualifications
:2-3+ years of experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes (Tornos experience a strong asset) Proficient in reading blueprints and working with precision measuring tools Familiarity with G-code and CNC control systems Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
