AAA Canada is looking for a CNC Machinist to join its team. Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Machinist is responsible for performing all machining operations on CNC machines. This includes preparing, setting up, and operating equipment to produce parts that meet technical specifications while ensuring compliance with established quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Responsibilities
Set up tools and fixtures according to operation sheets
Operate CNC machines
Verify the condition of parts during setup and machining
Ensure all work procedures are followed (program review vs. PCD)
Complete the daily maintenance checklist
Update and complete the PCD during and after tasks
Keep the production list (work progress) on the machine up to date
Inspect parts and complete the self-check (PTS) attached to the PCD
Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, machine, tools, and measuring instruments provided
Communicate instructions and job progress to the next shift
Report any anomalies or issues that could affect production to the supervisor
Perform all tasks in compliance with the company's vision, values, and code of ethics
Apply and adhere to safety regulations at all times
Apply and adhere to company policies and quality system standards
Skills and qualifications
Diploma of Vocational Studies in Machining Techniques or equivalent
Attestation of Vocational Specialization in CNC or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings
Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments
Skilled in setting up both simple and complex parts
Understanding of programming codes (e.g., G-code, M-code)
Attention to detail, organizational skills, autonomy, and teamwork abilities
Ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines
Capacity to perform tasks with minimal supervision
Bilingualism (French and English) in spoken and written communication is a strong asset for working in a multilingual client environment and handling technical documentation
