Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Journey person/ apprentice CNC Machinist to join our repair manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate and program CNC equipment, including CNC (Weiler) lathes to produce precision parts. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with Weiler controls, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. The CNC Machinist will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards through precise machining and efficient operation of various tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities



Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such as CNC lathes using Weiler controls. Program CNC equipment utilizing CNC programming skills, and blueprint reading. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce parts within tight tolerances. Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met. Maintain machine calibration and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools. Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lean manufacturing practices. Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring components meet specifications before final inspection. Document machining processes, adjustments, and quality checks accurately for production records.

Experience



Proven experience operating CNC machinery, specifically CNC lathe (Weiler) Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining techniques, tooling setup, and maintenance. Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during setup and operation. Experience working with calipers, hand tools, power tools. Prior exposure to repair manufacturing environments is a plus. This position requires a dedicated individual with a strong attention to detail who can work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting while maintaining safety standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $24.00-$42.00 per hour
