Job Duties:

The Machinist is responsible for operating the CNC equipment to produce high quality precision components.

Duties are as follows:

Operating CNC milling and turning machines safely and efficiently Programming CNC machines Determine tooling & work-holding setups to best perform machining operations Reading and interpreting engineered drawings & machining to exact specification Performing regular maintenance on machines and tools Ensuring clean and tidy work area to maintain quality & efficiency Daily organization, maintain tools, jigs, equipment, and materials in excellent working order Report to the Machinist Team Leader for tasks, reporting and guidance Contribute to continuous improvement ideas for better workflow, efficiency, and performance results.

Qualifications:

Mastercam programming experience required Red Seal Machinist designation Minimum 3 years experience preferred Great attention to detail Good mechanical & mathematical aptitude Able to work in a fast-paced environment where tasks may vary throughout your day Ability to lift 50Ibs Knowledge of GD&T an asset Experience using precision measurement tools Knowledge of how to adjust cutting speeds and feeds according to materials being used Experience using HAAS controllers and G-code considered an asset
