We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines, programming, and ensuring the production of high-quality components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, precision measuring instruments, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in maintaining efficiency and quality within our manufacturing operations.
Duties
Operate CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
Perform CNC programming and CAM programming to optimize machine performance.
Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles for accurate part production.
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and SolidWorks models to understand machining requirements.
Conduct regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions.
Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling design and improvements.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to lean manufacturing principles.
Assist in assembly operations as needed, utilizing hand tools and power tools for various tasks.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills in electrical discharge machining, plastics injection molding, welding, and other relevant areas.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., Fanuc) and machining processes.
Familiarity with basic math concepts applicable to machining tasks.
Experience with tooling setup and operation of various hand tools and power tools.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly techniques and lean manufacturing practices.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
