As a CNC Machinist you would be required to:
Read and interpret engineering drawing, blueprints, charts and tables;
Compute dimensions and tolerances, measure and lay out work pieces.
Perform accurate work-in-process dimensional or surface verification to specification;
Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments; (e.g. micrometers, calipers) to check straight cuts, shapes, threads, holes, tapers, hardness, and surfaces; deburring work pieces; and performing in-process inspections;
Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the tool-path for CNC machine tools, including G-codes or others, as required;
Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations, including drilling, milling, grinding, turning, boring;
Set up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, e.g. boring machines, milling machines, sawing machines and/or drilling machines, as required;
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery;
Clean and maintain work space;
Preparation of drawings for new parts and modification of old drawing for subsequent machining, use of formulas to calculate measurement uncertainty;
