CNC Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, the ability to read blueprints, and familiarity with various CNC programming languages such as Mazatrol and Fanuc. The CNC Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently while adhering to quality standards.

Duties

Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to fabricate parts according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to understand production requirements. Conduct regular inspections of machined parts for quality assurance, ensuring they meet specified tolerances. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and implement lean manufacturing practices. Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments to assist in the fabrication process. Safely operate forklifts as needed for material handling within the production area.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in operating Mazatrol and Fanuc CNC systems is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately. Experience with CAD software for part design is advantageous. Competence in using hand tools and measuring devices effectively. A commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.
