Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathe machines to produce precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, blueprint reading, and quality control standards. The successful applicant will contribute to efficient production workflows and ensure high-quality output using advanced machining equipment and techniques.

Primary responsibilities are to operate and monitor CNC

(computer numerically controlled) lathe machines, performing machining operations

such as turning, boring, threading and facing.

Responsibilities

Must be able to set up and operate CNC, Mill, Horizontal and 5 Axis with minimum supervision. Knowledge of CNC 5 Axis and Horizontal manufacturing process. Complete first off inspection and in process inspection as per drawing requirements. Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements and identify dimensional specifications. Experienced in cutting various materials. Troubleshoot CNC-related problems. Knowledge of G Code essential. Manage various parts, fixtures, and jigs for production. Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years of machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment and 3 years of experience directly related to CNC Setup and operate. Knowledge of how various machine tools operate, cutting tool theory and practice, working properties of various exotic metals used in the manufacturing process. Completed courses in CNC programming from an accredited institution up to a Technologist level and have completed courses in machining of conventional and CNC machines (lathes and mills) up to a technician level. Able to communicate in English (reading, writing, speaking). Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions. Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
