Job Description

One of Calgary's most established machine shops is looking for an experienced CNC lathe programmer/machinist, preferably with Mazak and Mazatrol experience, to join its highly skilled team. Qualifications and experience required:

5 years minimum CNC machining experience - Mazak lathes and Mazatrol programming and controls as asset Experience with live tooling, mill/turn machine and sub-spindle (preferably Mazak MY/MSY) as asset Ability to set up, program and work from a drawing Experienced CNC Machinist; Certified Journeyman or equivalent Experience with G-Code programming an asset Experience in the machining of complex 'one off' parts and prototypes an asset Experience in machining exotic materials, including Nitrinic50 and Beryllium Copper an asset Ability to work with minimal supervision Good communication skills A career-oriented team player who works well with other people Experience with machinery maintenance an asset Used to working with quality procedures and to ISO 9001.2015 standards Able to verify dimensions using measuring instruments Experience in completing full part inspections and inspection records Able to undertake job task planning and organizing Manual machining experience is an asset Strong in math, geometry English fluency Eligible to work in Canada
