Job Description

The CMM Operator will operate the CMM, perform gage calibrations, and other testing duties as required to support the production process. Work with both Engineering and Manufacturing to assist in new product launches and perform all required CMM checks for the day-to-day production operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate, setup and run CMM to evaluate production part samples using PC-DMIS software Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy Perform routine calibration checks on CMM equipment and maintain proper records Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams to resolve measurement discrepancies Work with the team to develop fixtures for CMM to ensure repeatable results Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability Knowledgeable of and supports Human Resource, Quality and Safety/Environmental policies & practices. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

3 - 5 years of PC-DMIS experience preferred Solid understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret complex blueprints Familiarity with other precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) Strong ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
