We are looking for a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer to join our Canadian team. In this role, you will design and build highly scalable, secure, and highly available architectures. You will promote automation and infrastructure best practices while contributing to a team of like-minded platform engineers building platforms in Azure, AWS and GCP public clouds

We are looking to hire multiple candidates by the end of September 2022. The candidate must be willing to relocate to Canada with an anticipation relocation timeframe of spring 2023. We are flexible in terms of the location across Canada but our natural choice is the province of Nova Scotia.

We are a technology professional services group, making up over 600 employees, and a part of a much larger national services practice. In the past 10 years, we have successfully recruited over 80 international hires, including 12 candidates through Vanhack in the past 4 months.

Your experience and education

• Experience with Infrastructure Automation and Infrastructure as Code

• Proficiency with any public cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) services and infrastructure.

• 3+ years of experience working with one or more of: Python, GO, Ruby, Java

• A passion for making developers more efficient through DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code

Nice to Have

• Experience in Kubernetes (Building Operators and managing production workloads)

• Knowledge of SRE principles

• An aptitude for learning and solutions design

Interview Process
Part of our success in international recruiting is our comprehensive interview process which allows both sides to get an appreciation for one another. Our process will include a take home test and 3 rounds of interviews. Total investment time for a candidate making it to the offer stage will be close to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a team of like-minded platform engineers building platforms in Azure, AWS and GCP public clouds

• You will minimize risk of reliability related failure outcomes as pertaining to durability, availability, performance, and correctness

• Write code and scripts to automate infrastructure and other common workflows

• Participate in on-call rotation to provide application support, incident management, and troubleshooting
