Cloud DevNetOps Engineer for our Ottawa, ON location to provide support of this complex state-of-art solution. This role will provide you with the opportunity to learn the latest IT solutions and security concepts, within a likeminded supportive talented team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test and Deploy software/applications updates, new features and hotfixes using various CI/CD tools like (Helmcharts,Ansible,GitLab pipelines, terraforms) across multiple cloud services (AWS & GCP) consistency
  • Review other Devops code as necessary.
  • Participate on the on-Call schedule & Provide L2/L3 Support to our Services desk and R&D teams
  • Support and troubleshoot all applications to ensure our cloud services is optimized for performance and reliability.
  • Implement Automation and pipeline codes in a timely fashion and with high quality, consistent with standards for the group.
  • Provide documentation as appropriate including design documentation, comments in code and end-user documentation
  • Consult with other technical team members and management on industry best practices
  • Maintain and enhance internal tools
  • Provide input to improve scalability and reliability of infrastructure to our Automation Architects
  • Deploy and assist with maintenance of automation technologies
  • Document all build and run procedures when implementing new automation technologies
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with PaaS technologies (K8's, OpenShift, ect..)
  • Experience with building pipelines for Infrastructure as a code using Terraforms
  • 3+ years experience configuring, deploying and maintaining switches and routers from various vendors
  • 3+ years experience configuring, deploying and maintaining load balancers from various vendors
  • 3+ years experience monitoring network parameters and uptime
  • 3+ years experience configuring, deploying and maintaining firewalls from various vendors (Fortigate, Checkpoint, Aviatrix and Cisco)
  • 3+ years experience with IDS/IPS systems from various vendors
  • 3+ years' experience with cloud and server architecture and with REST APIs, micorservices development and deployment
  • 3+ years' must to have extensive experience working with Kubernetes Orchestration
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Computer or Electronic Science Engineer/ Bachelor degree or higher
  • 3+ years' experience in deploying and supporting web based applications
  • 3+ years' must have experience with orchestration and Automations tools (Helmcharts, Ansible, Terraforms, Yaml, Python, Json) and Cloud Service
  • Experience on AWS or GCP cloud services
  • Understanding of operational concepts like change management, on call rotations, escalations, uptime, etc
  • Experience with security-relevant protocols and security practice from design to implementation & operations
  • Deep understanding of one of the major OS families (Linux or Windows)
  • Experience working with DB's: MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres, Mongo,Elastic Cloud, etc
