The Team:



The BC Wildfire Service - 100 Mile Zone is an established, close-knit team dedicated to protecting communities and landscapes from natural hazard emergencies. The Role:



As a Wildfire Operations Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to the Response Centre, helping ensure smooth daily operations and timely service to staff, clients, and partners. From coordinating travel and managing records to assisting with financial tracking and responding to inquiries, your work will be varied, meaningful, and impactful. Qualifications:



Education and Experience Requirements




Grade 12 or equivalent Experience working in an office setting Valid Class 5 or 7 driver licence

Preference may be given to candidates with experience working in Government Preference may be given to candidates with experience in heavy equipment Preference may be given to candidates with 1 or more years working with contracts Preference may be given to candidates with 1 or more years of experience working with Microsoft office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and One Note Preference may be given to candidates with 1 or more years experience in Natural Resource or Forestry work environments
Preference may be given to candidates with 1 or more years experience in client service roles

About this Position:



An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary vacancies.

This temporary (auxiliary) opportunity starts in approximately February 2026 and ends in October 2026, with possibility of recall on a yearly basis.
